Happy 5th Birthday!

We had a great time celebrating Ashley's 5th birthday. Jared got to stay home from work (even though he still worked most of the day), so it was nice to have him around...and have the surprise of all the snow as well. Ashley chose the menu for the day:
Breakfast: She wanted everyone to choose their favorite cold cereal! :) She chose Honeycomb
Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches
Dinner: Cheese Pizza with a side of black beans. We also had a special fancy drink in goblets that my mom taught me about...lemonade, then drop in a cherry, then add a tablespoon of cherry juice. The colors stay separated in the cup, and it makes a beautiful and yummy drink.

We played Fancy Nancy Jeopardy (categories included: French, Name that Book, Fancy English Words, All About Nancy, About the Books), opened presents and cards, and enjoyed some strawberry cake. Though Fancy Nancy might not have been impressed, it was a pure success for a pregnant momma and a grateful 5-year old girl.

Ashley is such a sweet, fun, clever, kind, creative girl. She keeps us on our toes and is a joy to be around. She loves to do service, choose the right, and make others feel included. She is a wonderful older sister and a big helper to Mom and Dad. We love ASHLEY!!!
