First day of...Spring?

Welcome Spring! We were so excited to wake up on the first day of Spring to 7 inches of snow. Wow! Church was canceled and we enjoyed a day snowed in together as a family. More in the tru spirit of Spring, the girls and I headed to Hobby Lobby later in the week where I let them pick out some material to make some new spring skirts. It has been fun to be in th esewing mode, and the girl definitely loved having a chance to push the sewing machine pedal a few times each to feel like they were helping sew. Spring has also inititaed our spring cleaning and organizing mode (althought I feel like it usually take me a year to do my spring cleaning). We made a few hook boards to help the girls organize their dress-up clothes and hats. They turned out great and it really helps keep the toy closet organized.

Happy Spring!

Happy Birthday, Bethany!!

It's hard to believe our little one is 2 years old. She is so grown up now and we have SO much fun with her and we are grateful she is a part of our family.
Lucky for me, Bethany wanted a "happy face" cake. It was pretty simple to make this little girl super happy. No, I didn't brainwash her with Walmart paraphernalia...however, with this week being the Walmart bonus, I did feel like happy face was very appropriate. :)

Posing as the happy new owner...or mother I should say...of a baby doll and crib.
Post-party smiles!

Success is...

February Fun

We had lots of fun with John and Debra in town for a couple of weeks...decorating, celebrating Valentines' Day, playing racquetball, playing family games, eating yummy food...among other things. :) One of the highlights for Jared and me was our night out at the big band Valentine's dance. Woo-hoo!!

Happy Birthday Ashley!

Happy Birthday, Ashley! She turned 4 this year and had a great time choosing all the meals for the day, opening presents, and celebrating!!!

Runaway Bunny and Goodnight Moon

Here are some pics to our latest trip to the Walton Arts Center. We stayed around and got to go on stage at the end to meet the actors and puppets. Very fun!
