It's Official!!

It's official...we are homeschoolers! We have made the jump into the homeschooling world since Ashley started Kindergarten this fall. We are having lots of fun together and I'm learning a lot (oh, and the girls are, too.). ;) Here are some pictures from our first day of school.

The computer lab. ;)

This is a shelf I got just a day or two before school started, so I'm still figuring out where things go and where I need to add more shelves. For now, it's a great storage spot for our school supplies, curriculum, flag, etc.

Here's a fun pencil cake we made together to celebrate the first day of school. Thanks to Debra for sending me the Food Network magazine that had the idea and instructions.

So far we're having lots of fun with school and the girls like our schedule. Here's hoping the rest of the school year is this easy and this much fun! :)

Benton County Fair

We had a fun time visiting the Benton County Fair last weekend. Highlights included Jared's first Ferris Wheel Ride (it was the first time for Ashley and Bethany, too), holding the baby chicks, milking a pretend cow, eating cotton candy, and getting a balloon from the Sheriff. Nothing like a good ol' county fair.

Stewart Reunion

Here are some pictures from our recent trip to Utah. We drove two days there and two days back, which was long, but well worth it. We had such a fun time with the Stewart side I don't have pics from everything we did, but here's a glimpse.

These are all from our Family Game Night. It was super fun!! We did Round Robin style games and changed tables every 15 minutes. It was a great way to interact with everyone...and the treats were delectable!

Sister-in-laws are the best! Woo-hoo!

The cousins having fun on the hammock.

One day we all made a trip down to Provo to visit BYU. Here's Ashley in front of a cool art project made of books. It was a hollow cube basically and was pretty impressive.

The two youngest cousins bonding on the blanket. :)

We all take turns making meals and desserts for the whole group while we are together. I tried a new recipe this time -- Six Layer Rainbow Cake. It turned out pretty well. Thanks to Grandma Brewer for the fun recipe!

Knowing my girls and what they like to wear, you should all appreciate this picture. Bethany is wearing pants...shh...don't tell her. I convinced her that overalls were cute...and it worked!

Here's our little family.

Also on the trip we saw a play (The Sound of Music), had lots of yummy food, did cousins camp, went on treasure hunts, celebrated Amanda's birthday, and had fun playing in the river.
What a great vacation!
