Random Tidbits

Here are a few random pictures from the past few weeks.
Fun in the pool...summer is coming!

Bethany checking the progress of her seeds...while dressed to the nines, of course.

Sunday morning playtime...girl world at its best.
She may wear a dress everyday, but there's nothing hoity toity about this princess. She loves collecting handfuls of worms and has lately been into finding caterpillars. This one she named Emily.
In the Joyschool rotation Ashley is in, they focused on space (astronauts, planets, aliens, etc.) one week. They dressed up as aliens one day, but instead of being an alien, Ashley wanted to be Susan from a clip she had seen of Monsters vs. Aliens. I didn't know anything about Susan, but after a quick google search and a few wardrobe changes, we had Ashley looking pretty close, eh?

Ashley's First Recital

Ashley did a great job performing in her first recital.
She LOVED it!

I Kid You Not!

I'm reminded of that great Thanksgiving book, I Know an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Pie. My favorite line is: "I know an old lady who swallowed a pot, I kid you not, she swallowed a pot." Well, this past week I was faced with a situation of similar absurdity.
I looked in my backyard on Friday and saw this:

I kid you not, I saw a peacock! It perched in one of our trees for about 45 minutes, then walked around the yard for a few hours. We put out some birdseed for it, which it seemed to enjoy. The girls and I had a great time watching it. Eventually it flew up onto the fence post then down on the other side and walked away into the woods. Crazy!
