Baby Steps!

So, I know it's small...but last week I successfully completed my first large Wal-Mart shopping trip with both girls. I was well-equipped with snacks, pacifier, bottle, gum, and cell phone. We were there about 90 minutes and got everything we needed. I think it helped that the samples that day were crackers and PBJs. We talked with four people from church and made it out with no explosions, accidents, or spit-ups. Sure makes me appreciate people with 2 (or more!!!) kids. Baby steps, baby steps....

Ashley's Latest and Greatest

Ashley: Where's Dad?

Mom: He's at school.

Ashley: Oh, school. Do you like school? I like school!

She's been on this "I like..." kick the past week or so. Some of the funniest have been...

"Do you like getting dressed? I like getting dressed!"

"Do you like owies? I like owies!"

"Do you like tinkle? I like tinkle!"

Yesterday during piano lessons she brought be the bag of mini-marshmallows from the pantry. Of course I said we weren't going to have any right now. So she smiles and runs away. Then 30-seconds later returns with a bag of chocolate chips...just smiling, looking up at me. I think it turned into more of a game and she wasn't too sad she didn't get any "treats" right now. She brought me (one by one) the mini-marshmallows, chocolate chips (2 varieties), jumbo marshmallows, mints, chocolate....never saying a word, just looking very hopeful at me. She's funny! ;)

I'm Alive!!!

I know some of you are probably thinking that I dropped off the face of the earth, but alas...I am back again. Although I haven't posted for two months...I only have excuses for the past three weeks. Here they are...
