Grandma & Grandpa Camp

While we were away on our anniversary trip, my parents watched all 4 girls. They have a great tradition of having "Grandma & Grandpa Camp" where they spend the week doing fun things together. Each girl got to have her own day where she chose the menu, the activities, the treats...could you ask for more?! I think they were so busy having fun they didn't even miss us...well, hopefully just a little. :)  We returned back and joined in a for a few days of fun altogether before Jared had to return to work.
They spent one of the mornings at a farm of some friends from church. So cute to see the baby animals!

Ashley's creative lunch - PB&J sushi
One of the crafts during the week -- string art!
Bethany making her strawberry popsicles.

And dipping them in chocolate!!
One of Kailey's fun activities was making a little fishpond drink/treat....blue colored sprite with Swedish fish in it.

Happy girl, Emily!!
Fun time in the hot tub!
Story time with Grandpa every night.
Picnics on the deck.
Every morning there would be lots of frogs that got stuck in the holes that are awaiting fence posts. Grandpa would get the frogs out and put them in the girls nets.

Kayaking!!!
Happy Emily!
One of our traditions is to record a book on tape when we are together. Here we are practicing our lines before the final recording. This year we did Are You My Mother?
By the lake.
This was a rocking horse my dad made that we all loved playing on when we were little. It's fun to see the girls be so attached to it now.
I'm so grateful for kind, creative, fun, giving, hard-working, parents. Thanks, Mom and Dad!!
